While Paris is known for its love of wine and coffee, high-quality tea remains relatively discreet in the French gastronomic scene. With this festival, María Kockmann aims to change that by offering a genuine showcase for producers, importers, and tea houses committed to artisanal and sustainable practices.
For two days, visitors will be able to:

✅ Taste exceptional teas from all over the world
✅ Meet and exchange with producers, professionals, and experts from France and abroad
✅ Attend conferences on history, culture, climate change, aromas, tasting, and tea trends
✅ Participate in workshops and experiences around tea and gastronomy in various Parisian locations and at the Maison Internationale
✅ Explore a ceramics market featuring unique creations
✅ Visit French tea plantations—yes, tea grows in France, and it’s important to highlight the projects emerging in this sector
A Passionate and Committed Organizer
Behind this ambitious project is María Kockmann, a Franco-Uruguayan entrepreneur, tea sommelier, and consultant who has been working for years to bring tea into the spotlight. After launching the Brussels Tea Festival in 2024, she is back with this first Parisian edition, convinced that the French capital has everything to gain from embracing the tea culture.
"Tea deserves a prominent place in Paris. This festival is an invitation to discover authentic flavors and meet the people who keep this ancient culture alive around the world."
A Tailored Program for Both Amateurs and Professionals
Beyond the general public, the Paris Tea Festival also aims to become a key event for professionals. Importers, retailers, restaurateurs, and tea sommeliers will have the opportunity to connect, discover new terroirs and trends, and form strategic partnerships.
On the exhibitor side, major tea houses will share the space with independent artisans, specialized ceramists, and brands committed to ethical and responsible practices. The event will offer a warm, collegial, and authentic atmosphere, with numerous immersive experiences such as traditional tea rituals (cha no yu, sencha do, gong fu cha), the art of matcha latte, and tea and food pairings.
