Organized on the initiative of tea sommelier and festival founder María Kockmann, the Paris Tea Festival took place on June 14–15, 2025, at the Maison Internationale (Cité Universitaire), with the AVPA as a proud and active partner committed to promoting high-quality agricultural products.
On Saturday, June 14, the OFF day offered a unique “beyond the walls” experience, with Tea Tours starting from AVPA’s offices in the Marais, guiding visitors through Japanese, Chinese, and French tea salons. A variety of workshops—pairings, mixology, traditional rituals, and visits to regional plantations—enriched the program.
Sunday, June 15, the main event at the Maison Internationale welcomed more than 50 exhibitors from 14 countries. Visitors enjoyed rare tea tastings, talks, cultural demonstrations (cha no yu, gong fu cha, matcha latte), and exchanges with producers, ceramicists, and experts passionate about tea.
In an immersive and welcoming atmosphere, over 20 activities added depth to the experience. The AVPA contributed notably by organizing an exceptional Korean tea tasting in partnership with the Korean Tea Society, strengthening cultural dialogue around exceptional teas.
As María Kockmann put it: "Tea deserves a place of honor in Paris." With this successful first edition, the festival firmly positions the capital as a key European platform for tea lovers and professionals.
This promising event lays the foundation for an annual rendezvous that celebrates global terroirs, rituals, culture, and sustainability. The AVPA is already preparing for the 2026 edition!
