This Monday, June 16th, marks the end of the technical and gastronomic tastings for the fifth edition of our competition for origin-crafted chocolates.
After more than three intense days — two dedicated to the technical jury and one to the gastronomic jury — over 170 chocolates were tasted. It was a true sensory journey for our jurors: sometimes surprising, always enriching, and full of discoveries.
Thanks to their expertise, these chocolate enthusiasts evaluated creations from the four corners of the world and unearthed the true gems of this edition.
Their work helps to promote the know-how of artisans committed to the bean-to-bar at origin approach.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Emmanuelle de Beauregard, president of the gastronomic jury, for her valuable expertise and guidance throughout the tastings.
A big thank you as well to all the jurors, who devoted their time and passion to support the beautiful mission carried out by AVPA:
Christelle Bastian, Benjamin Bienert, Cécile Cron, Arnaud Delmontel, Domytile d’Eliassy, Magali Finon, Sarah Guédé, Guénola Guézo, Constance Haond, Elise Igalas, Elena Kalmykova, Guillaume de la Mettrie, Julie Mechali, Sandrine Nosjean, Cédric Phojo, Karin Shibata, Anton Tourtier, Brieuc Vaujour.
We would also like to thank Virginie Legrand for her invaluable help in organizing these tastings.
We look forward to seeing you in October for the awards ceremony, which will bring this edition to a close in the best possible way at the Salon du Chocolat in Paris.
What better setting than this major gathering of the world’s chocolate professionals to celebrate this year’s winning producers!
