The richness of traditions, the value of local products made by hand, invite us to discover and marvel. For almost twenty years, the AVPA (Association de Valorisation des Produits Agricoles) has been helping producers around the world to make their creations known, first in the world of edibles oils, and now in the world of coffee, tea and chocolate.
Once again this year, the talent and work of AVPA producers have awakened our senses. Last November, at the EquipHotel and Salon du Chocolat shows, we had the pleasure of rewarding the excellence of numerous products with our medals.
In this spirit, on Monday, December 2, we celebrated the end of the year with a tasting evening in our Paris premises, dedicated to the products awarded by the AVPA.
Our guests were able to taste various award-winning oils, including “Prosperato” scented oils, as well as many other discoveries. Tea was also the center of attention, with Peruvian oolong and white teas, as well as a vintage Taiwanese Bao Zhong from 1975.
As for coffee, the award-winning “Amor Perfecto” seduced the palates of our guests.
Finally, chocolate was sublimated with an exceptional dinner conceived by Chef Virginie Legrand, who magnified this year's award-winning products in a symphony of savory and sweet flavors.
To begin with, “A-Typica” chocolate from Martinique was combined with foie gras in delicious chocolate and walnut rochers. Next, slices of pumpkin sublimated by a mustard, honey and chocolate “Cakawa” vinaigrette from Venezuela.
Next, a bourguignon stew with “grand veneur” sauce and “Chocovi” dark chocolate from Côte d'Ivoire. The tasting ended with a chocolate and hazelnut crème brûlée, made with Mexican Levelez chocolate, and an assortment of truffles (cocoa, pink pralines, coconut and pistachios) with Peruvian Keshet chocolate.
To accompany these exceptional dishes, we had the pleasure of working with VINOMIMOSAS, who selected three remarkable wines: a white wine (“Loulys”, from Domaine des Serres des Vignes, in the Grignan-les-Adhémar appellation), a red wine (“Soif-Art”, from Château Vignals, in Gaillac) and a sparkling red wine (from Domaine Gigou, in the Loire).
We want to express our sincere thanks to all our guests for attending this wonderful evening, which we hope will be remembered as a magnificent moment of conviviality and sharing.
Thus ends 2024, a year marked by the spirit of gastronomy and excellence that is at the heart of our identity. We look forward to sharing this joy of wonder with you again next year. In the meantime, we wish you an excellent end of year and a wonderful holiday season.
